Collaborate: Enhanced Ion Exchange Resin for PFAS Removal

By August 10, 2023No Comments

FirstIgnite is supporting the commercialization of Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory’s new enhanced ion exchange resin for PFAS removal technology, which is capable of adsorbing PFAS with fast kinetics, high affinity and high capacity. This technology, featuring a subtle modification, holds the promise of delivering a cost-effective ion-exchange solution for addressing PFAS and other charged pollutants across various applications.

This technology has potential usage in municipal water treatment plants, remediation of PFAS contaminants in industries where they are used, and use in any context where ion-exchange technology is essential. The PFAS waste management market was worth $1.8 billion in 2022 and is expected to increase to $ 2.9 billion by 2031.

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory’s enhanced ion exchange resin for PFAS removal technology is ready for collaboration (licensing, partnerships, industry feedback, etc.). Is your company the right fit? If you’d be available for a conversation with the Johns Hopkins University APL team, you can schedule a time directly on their team’s calendar here.
